Pre-purchase now my book on private company valuations, and enjoy 20% off! (Offer valid until 28/02/2019)
Probably the most practical book on private business valuations out there. (Well, it’s the most practical that I’ve come across anyway!)
A business book isn’t (or at least, it shouldn’t be) something that someone sells to increase their revenues, or to improve their personal image. A business book is first and foremost a learning tool that accounts for the needs of everyday corporate life.
Sadly, my experience as a reader thus far, has shown me that most business valuation books are written either in an academic style that barely sets them apart from theoretical texts, or in a very abstract way that lacks pragmatic guidance. To make matters worse, these books do not “call their readers to action” to enhance learning, and so their dust settles rather rapidly. Finally, I find that most of these books are not written with the reader’s needs in mind: They shuffle a lot of information in the reader’s head, trying to teach them everything that the writer knows, but which the reader may not need. As a result, when the reader does have some need of the book, this can very rarely be used as a quick reference tool that would enhance both the learning, as well as the quality of the reader’s work.
Main features:
- Written by a professional, for professionals (as well as those who aspire to become professionals);
- Written by a reader, for readers – As I read a lot myself, I know what makes a good business book;
- Written by a teacher, for students – I have many times been asked to take the mantle of the teacher to transmit knowledge. I have used my relevant experience in writing this book;
- Concise in size, but detailed where it must be – I don’t teach you everything I know, but everything that you need to know;
- Chapters written in the same order, as that of the steps you would follow to complete your work;
- Main points of each chapter clearly highlighted in a separate page, to help you memorize them easily;
- Quick summary paragraph, highlighted in each chapter’s introductory page, to be used as a quick reminder of the chapter’s contents;
- Follows largely the same approach as my DCF and WACC model template. Using the book in conjunction with the Excel model, will turbocharge your learning experience.
- The book is written in English and is available in soft cover format. Take my word as a fellow reader on this one, and trust me in that you learn *10 times more from a physical, rather than from an electronic, or audio form of the same book. A flat shipping charge is already included in the price;
- Bulk discounts are also available – Just contact me directly through the forms found throughout my website.
I only accept Paypal and direct debit for the moment due to technical limitations not related to MNConsulting, so the other payment options are disabled for now. If you would like to purchase this product via direct debit, just contact me and I will send you clear instructions.
You are only allowed to include a maximum of four books in a single order, since I charge a flat and fairly low shipping fee and past that point the fee becomes unreasonably low. If you would like to receive more than four items, either place multiple orders, or send me a message and I will reply with a custom offer.
Ordering process:
- Place the item in your cart;
- Pay via Paypal (the only automatic payment method accepted on the website).
- If you would like to pay via wire transfer, contact me directly to provide you with the account details;
- You will receive an email with the detail of your order;
- Reply to this email with the address to which you would like your copy to be shipped.
